IOVICO-NS-ERVATORI [IOVI CONSERVATORI]; Jupiter seated facing, turned l., on high-backed throne, with himation over knees, r. holding thunderbolt, l. sceptre; eagle at feet to l. with wreath in beak. ALE in exergue.

MINTMARK VARIETY. Specimen similar to ALEXANDRIA 1 (Gnecchi I, p. 11, no. 5 and plate 4, no. 12; 53.59 g, 37 mm; m.m. given as ALE) except for absence of dot in m.m. Note, however, that the dot may be obliterated. Type mentioned in Depeyrot in "Les médaillons" section on p. 155, but without detailed description.
