RIC VI, ROMA 191, MAXENTIUS, [CORRECTION]

OBVERSE

MAXENTI-VSPFAVG [MAXENTIVS P F AVG]; facing, dr., head bare.

REVERSE

TEMPORVMFELICITASAVG [TEMPORVM FELICITAS AVG]; wolf and twins r. PR in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

[CORRECTION]. RIC gives for this type m.m. RS. Should be PR, like for the previous group of aurei. Therefore this issue should be listed separately, before ROMA 187. Already published in Cohen, vol. VII, p. 177, no. 106 (see picture).

Note that ROMA 190 (different bust type with the same reverse) is described correctly. See example of ROMA 190 (BM 1924,0103.25, 3.03 g).

Listed in Drost (p. 305, no. 70) with this correction.
