REVERSE

CONSERV-VRBSVAE [CONSERV VRB SVAE]; Roma seated facing, head l., in hexastyle temple, r. holding Victory on globe, l. sceptre, shield at side. With rich decorations (description below). RBQ in exergue.

REVERSE VARIETY. Specimen similiar to ROMA 208 except for Victory on globe instead of globe only. Listed in Drost (p. 310, no. 93). Note laso exceptionaly rich decorations. Pediment contains Jupiter and Hercules flanked by Giants. Victories as acroteria. Above, Dioscuri on both sides. At top, std. person surrounded by four persons with torches (?).
