OBVERSE

IMPLICI-NIVSAVG [IMP LICINIVS AVG]; bust l., laur., dr., cuir., raising r. hand, sceptre over l. shoulder.

REVERSE

IOVI-CONSERVATORIA-VG [IOVI CONSERVATORI AVG]; Jupiter, head l., r. holding thunderbolt, l. transverse sceptre, seated on eagle stg. r. with wings spread. PTR in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

BUST TYPE VARIETY. Specimen similar to TREVERI 825 except for r. hand raised instead of r. holding thunderbolt. Probably a result of extensive tooling. Note that the remains of thunderbolt are visible near the palm.

NOTES

Billon argenteus. Weight 2.32 g. Coin sold on Gorny & Mosch auction 225 (lot 2471) in October 2014 for EUR 275.
