NOT IN RIC
|
UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND. RIC lists for this issue only shorter obv. legend: CONSTANTINVS AVG (without MAX) (p. 270). However, Bruun in footnote 341 on p. 270 mentions that "A. Alföldi (NaH 191) records a coin of this m.m. with the obv. legend CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG. His reference to Maurice suggests that he has recorded the m.m. wrongly".
Attested in Ermsdorf hoard (FMRL I, no. 860; p. 254 and plate XIV). Listed in Ferrando (p. 127, no. 514). Should be listed before ARLES 341.
