REVERSE

PRINCIPIAI-VVENTVTIS [PRINCIPIA IVVENTVTIS]; prince, helmeted, in military dress, stg. r., cloak spread, leaning on reversed vertical spear, hand resting on shield. Crescent in left field. PLN in exergue.

UNLISTED FOR RULER. RIC lists this issue for for Crispus and Constantine II [LONDON 133-136] (p. 105). For Constantine I another variant of reverse is attested: Emperor holding transverse spear and globe. Listed in Bourton Hoard (The Scattered Hoard, no. 335). Listed in Collezione Sabetta (p. 45, no. 29). Listed in Cloke-Toone (8.11.013). Should be listed in RIC before LONDON 133.
