MAXIMIN-VSNOBCAES [MAXIMINVS NOB CAES]; head r., laur.

REVERSE

PRINCIPI-I-VVENTVT [PRINCIPI IVVENTVT]; prince stg. l., in military dress, r. raised to ensign, l. leaning on sceptre. PR in exergue.

REVERSE VARIETY. Specimen similar to ROMA 149 (BM 1864,1128.173, 5.05 g) except for only one ensign instead of two. See also CORRIGENDA, VOL. VI, p. 369.

Note that so far two different rev. legend breaks are attested: I-I-V and P-I-I, which could make in RIC two separate entries (cf. RIC VI TREVERI 802 and 807 or SISCIA 61 and SISCIA 62) (cf. TRIER 18-21 or CONSTANTINOPLE 93-94).

Listed in Depeyrot (p. 86, no. 14/11). Listed in Drost (p. 299, no. 21) as corrected ROMA 149 (listed on p. 299, no. 22). Coin should be listed in RIC after ROMA 149.
