UNLISTED FOR RULER. RIC lists this issue only for Severus and Maximinus (p. 497). General note from p. 488: "Very rare silver is known, for Severus and Maximinus [...]. The reverse type of both varieties is Virtus Militum (three-tureted gate, open, without doors), as in Groups I and II. Weight appears to remain at c. 3.3. gm.". Coin should be listed after SERDICA 22.

NOTES

Argenteus. Weight 2.85 g; diameter 19-20 mm. Sold on eBay in December 2011 for USD 300. Note that the owner, an experienced German collector, is conviced that this coin is not an imitation. For the present author it is still a matter of dispute.
