VIRTV-SAVGG [VIRTVS AVGG]; gateway with four turrets, no doors, varying number of stone layers, no star. ARL in exergue.

MINTMARK VARIETY, HYBRID. Style is good but Caesar has Augustus' reverse. Note also absence of star and doors, unusual m.m. with no officina letter and very light weight. Could be listed among other irregular coins in footnotes.

NOTES

Weight 1.82 g; diameter 18 mm. Ex Beast Coins. Sold on VAuctions sale 250 (lot 158) in August 2010 for USD 161.
