SOLIINVIC-TOCOMITI [SOLI INVICTO COMITI]; Sol stg. l., chlamys across l. shoulder, raising r. hand, globe in l. Crescent in left field. PLN in exergue.

UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND. Not attested for this issue (p. 104). Specimen similar to LONDON 143 (BM 1959,1010.29, 2.89 g) except for ...CAI (sic!) in obv. legend instead of ...CAES. Apparently an engraver's error, but this type is listed in Cloke-Toone under a separate number (8.11.033). Should be listed (or noted) in RIC after LONDON 143.

NOTES

Weight 3.51 g; diameter 19.13-20.59 mm. Plate coin in Cloke-Toone. Coin sold on CNG eAuction 516 (lot 627) in May 2022 for USD 150.
