NOT IN RIC
|
UNLISTED OBVERSE LEGEND. Not attested in RIC VII. FL CL is appropriate for Constantine II (Flavius Claudius), not for Crispus (Flavius Iulius). But cf. TRIER 138-139 (p. 175) with obv. legend: FL CL CRISPVS NOB CAES. It could be an engraver's error or more probably an early error in mint instructions. Not listed in Bastien Lyon (318-337) and Bastien Lyon - suppléments I-II. Should be listed in RIC before LYONS 83.
