PRINCIPI•IVVENTVTIS [PRINCIPI • IVVENTVTIS]; Prince in military dress, stg. r., cloak displayed, holding transverse spear in r. hand and globe in l. N in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE - B4. Not attested for obv. legend 8b (p. 619). Note dot in rev. legend (cf. NICOMEDIA 183-184, p. 632). Note also an error in RIC: Prince on reverse is described as holding spear in l. hand (instead of r.) and globe in r. hand (instead of l.). Coin should be listed before NICOMEDIA 116.

NOTES

AV fraction. Weight 1.69 g (probably 1½ scripula or 9 siliquae). Sold on Tkalec auction 2002 (lot 252) in February 2002 for CHF 3,100.
