REVERSE	VIRTVS-[E]XERCITVS [VIRTVS EXERCITVS]; soldier, helmeted, stg. l., looking r., holding reversed vertical spear, l. hand resting on shield. TSЄ in exergue.
NOT IN RIC	UNLISTED ISSUE. RIC lists similar type from Thessalonica but with m.m. TS. See example of THESSALONICA 197 (Schulman March 1923, lot 2661, 4.40 g; cited in RIC; also noted by Gnecchi I (p. 59, no. 22; not illustrated). This coin apparently belongs to the later issue. Should be listed in RIC after THESSALONICA 221.
