MARTICON-SERVATORI [MARTI CONSERVATORI]; Mars in military dress, stg. r., reversed spear in r. hand, l. on shield set on ground, cloak across r. shoulder. Star in left field. S•T in exergue.

UNLISTED BUST TYPE - B4. Not attested for obv. legend 1 and this m.m. (p. 362). However, Bruun mentions in footnote 23 on p. 362 that "Maur. [Maurice, Numismatique constantinienne], loc. cit., rev. II, 1, records a bust B4, reffering to Vo [Voetter], not in V. [Vienna]. A coin of off. S without star in field is recorded in V.". Should be listed in RIC before TICINUM 23.

Diameter 20 mm. Coin sold on eBay in February 2012 for USD 20.81. Now in Brent Upchurch's collection.
