CONSTAN-TINVSIVNNC [CONSTANTINVS IVN N C]; bust l., rad., wearing trabea, holding mappa [C3 l. var.].

REVERSE

BEATATRAN-QVILLITAS [BEATA TRANQVILLITAS]; globe set on altar inscribed VOT/IS/XX; above, three stars. STR in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

UNLISTED BUST TYPE - C3 l. var. Not attested in RIC VII. Listed in RMBT (p. 64, no. 18a). Similar to RMBT no. 21, but bust described as cuirassed (C4 l.). Note that bust on both coins could be described as cuirassed and draped (C3 l.). Cf. LONDON 198 with C3 l. bust type (note, however, that Cloke-Toone also described this bust as mantled). Note also that this type may be regarded as an ancient imitation. Otherwise, hould be listed before TRIER 315.
