RIC VII, TRIER 381, CONSTANTINE II, [CORRECTION]

OBVERSE

CONSTANTINVSIVNNOBC [CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C]; bust r., laur., dr., cuir., spear across r. shoulder, holding horse by bridle with l. hand.

REVERSE

BEATATRAN-QVILLITAS [BEATA TRANQVILLITAS]; globe set on altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX; above, three stars. •STR• in exergue.

NOT IN RIC

[CORRECTION]. RIC lists for this type bust G11 which is cuirassed only. Actually, bust is cuirassed and draped. Listed in RMBT (p. 72, no. 121). Note that RMBT lists also bust G11 (p. 72, no. 118-119; both officinae), but this variety is not illustrated and probably does not exist. Also coin described by Gnecchi (see footnote 381 on p. 198) has bust cuirassed and draped (only obverse illustrated)

NOTES

From RMBT (plate XXIII, no. 121).
